Multiple Me | Foundations of Photography [CTE]

Multiple Me

In this photo composite unit, students will brainstorm, plan, and execute a photoshoot of themselves, friend, or even their pet. Students will photograph their subject multiple times in one scene. Students must pay attention to depth of field, focus, and shoot in manual mode. The camera can not be moved once the first image of the background is shot. Then using a timer or a friend, they take multiple shots of themselves in the scene in various poses and positions. Adobe Photoshop skills: erase, erase, selection tools, masking, and layers.

Cultural exemplars used in this lesson were curated specifically for my classroom. Using student research collected from pre-and formative assessments, I brought relevant visual examples that would connect to my student worlds.
